I had this coffee at a local shop recently and wow, it’s good. Not wanting to step back into a daily coffee shop habit I asked the barista the proportions of ingredients she used so I could make this at home. I’m not a nutritionist so I won’t wade into the merits of good fats and bad fats but from what I understand this combo of butter and coconut oil is supposed to do a body good. What I do know though is that this coffee is creamy like a latte with a smooth mouth feel, didn’t need sugar and as a bonus it kept me full for hours. It tastes like a treat. I’ve heard this can also be done with tea.
12 oz. of hot brewed coffee of your choice
1 tsp (5 grams) butter
1 Tbs coconut oil (I melted it first in the microwave)
Toss all the ingredients into a food processor or blender and process for about 20 seconds until combined and slightly frothy.
